KQ2 News: Save our Say Rally has St. Joseph showing

Across the state of Missouri, residents came together in what's being called a 'nonpartisan stand' over the worry that state politicians are taking away voters' say.

Rallies took place throughout Missouri, including Farmington, Blue Springs, St. Louis, Springfield, St. Charles, Jefferson City, and St. Joseph. 

Dakota Allen, the movement's local organizer, was at City Hall and stated that their group has a straightforward request. 

"We'd like to see the politicians stop being able to meddle in initiative petition affairs. So would they have the ability right now to actually alter the language of ballots, initiative petitions, and other things like that," said Allen. "We'd like to see the meddling of politicians stop. This is a citizen led petition, not politician led petition."
