Maryville Forum: Respect MO Voters rallies

Maryville resident Nancy Zeliff, a volunteer with the grassroots effort, told The Forum on Tuesday that the goal of the movement is to put a petition on the November 2026 ballot that will ban the state legislature from overturning petition initiatives like Amendment 3, in which voters approved the right to abortion, and Proposition A, which put into place paid sick leave and a minimum wage increase. But Zeliff said, “It’s not a policy issue. It’s voters’ rights, and we want our politicians to listen to the will of the people.”
