Through months of petitioning and our major victory against Amendment 4, this community has moved mountains. While seeing politicians try to block our work is frustrating, we want to reassure you that our legal team is fighting back on every front.

What a week it has been for the fight to protect the voice of every Missourian. On Tuesday, voters sent a resounding message by decisively defeating Amendment 4, with a staggering 80% voting NO. Every county across Missouri firmly rejected this power grab. But the work to defend our citizen initiative process is far from over.

Election Day is two days away—and the future of Missouri’s citizen initiative process is on the line.  Our deepest gratitude goes to everyone who has given their time to this fight. But the job isn't done. Canvassing and phone banking operations are running full steam through Tuesday.

Direct voter contact is the single most effective tool we have to defeat Amendment 4. Early voting is officially OPEN and time is critical. Here is a checklist of actions you can take to maximize voter contact this week.

There is a massive, statewide movement underway to defeat Amendment 4. Volunteers knocked more than 9,000 doors on Saturday to get out the vote. Organizations across Missouri and across party lines are mobilizing to protect the citizen's initiative petition. Because there’s power in numbers, our volunteers are joining these local canvassing events to get out the vote before election day.

Our amazing team of volunteers are out spreading the word and telling voters how important it is to VOTE NO on Amendment 4 by August 4. Election Day will be here before we know it, and early voting opens July 21. The work we do in the next 3 weeks could determine the fate of our freedom to petition in Missouri.

As we reflect on 250 years of this great experiment in democracy, let's remember one of our greatest freedoms — the freedom to vote — and continue doing the work to protect and defend the rights that those before us struggled for.

Everything we are seeing across Missouri shows this August vote on Amendment 4 will be incredibly close. That is why our canvassing, phone banking, and outreach efforts matter so much. In a summer election with lower turnout, every single conversation we have has a huge impact. That impact is measurable. We know face-to-face canvassing campaigns can shift election outcomes by 3 to 5 percentage points.

Our Vote No on Amendment 4 campaign is officially off to a great start! This weekend, volunteers kicked off our field efforts. Team members went door-to-door in local neighborhoods and connected with folks at community events to spread the word about the threat to citizen-led initiatives on the August ballot.

Our six months of gathering signatures made one thing clear: our real strength is local. To bring our work closer to our communities and involve more voices, we're launching Regional Councils across all 10 regions.

After some well-deserved time to rest and reset, we are moving at lightning speed! From designing sleek new flyers and business cards to preparing our upcoming field launch, the team is working around the clock to prep for the Vote No on 4 campaign.
