Departments

Communications (Comms)
Creates and shares clear, consistent messaging across the campaign. This includes writing, graphics, video, social media, email, presentation materials, and media outreach to keep volunteers informed and the public engaged.

Field
Leads all on-the-ground work to get the measure on the ballot and win voter support. This includes signature collection, canvassing, volunteer coordination, logistics, and tracking progress across regions.

Fundraising
Secures the financial resources needed to run the campaign. This includes donor relationships, fundraising campaigns, grants, and maintaining accurate donor records.

Logistics
Manages the materials and their transport across the campaign. This includes sending supplies to regions, receiving completed items like petitions, and helping keep materials organized, tracked, and moving between teams.

Operations & Finance
Keeps the campaign running behind the scenes. This role manages finances, compliance, and core operations so the campaign stays organized, accountable, and able to support its volunteers and work.

Outreach
Build relationships that grow and strengthen the movement. This includes connecting with individuals, community groups, and partner organizations to expand reach, increase engagement, and bring in volunteers, supporters, and collaborators.

Policy
Leads the department’s educational and policy support work for the campaign. This includes helping maintain accurate, understandable information about the initiative and related ballot issues, supporting educational materials and presentations, and collaborating with other departments to ensure consistent, accessible voter education.

Tech Support
Builds, supports, and improves the software systems the campaign runs on. This includes developing custom software solutions to address gaps in existing tools, managing tools, supporting volunteers and departments with tech needs, onboarding people into systems, and maintaining information security.

Volunteer Experience (VolEx)
Supports the full volunteer journey from first connection through long-term engagement. The department combines recruitment, onboarding, volunteer appreciation, engagement, and retention into one coordinated system that helps volunteers move smoothly through the organization.
