Election Day is two days away—and the future of Missouri’s citizen initiative process is on the line.

Our deepest gratitude goes to everyone who has given their time to this fight. But the job isn't done. Canvassing and phone banking operations are running full steam through Tuesday.
Whatever happens on election day, our mission remains the same. If Amendment 4 passes, our path to pass the Respect Missouri Voters amendment gets more difficult by requiring a victory in every single congressional district. But, a harder road has never stopped our volunteer-led movement.

Casting for Campaign Ads on Aug 15 & 16 |
Real stories win campaigns. On August 15 and 16 in the St. Louis area, we are filming TV and digital ads for the Respect MO Voters amendment and we need volunteers and supporters on screen. Stepping in front of a camera takes courage, but you won't do it alone. We’ll guide you every step of the way, whether you're speaking on camera or appearing as an extra. To sign up: Fill out the form below and check the box for "Appearing in advertisements (on TV & social media)." |

Beyond the Urban-Rural Myth: The Real Impact of Amendment 4 Framing Amendment 4 as an urban vs. rural issue completely misses how Missouri elections work. - It’s Not Urban vs. Rural: With eight congressional districts with roughly equal populations, urban voters in just two districts can't dictate statewide policy. Plus, current law already guarantees rural-urban cooperation by requiring campaigns to gather signatures from at least six different districts just to get on the ballot.
- It’s About Single-District Veto Power: Amendment 4 destroys this balance by allowing a minority in any single district—urban, suburban, or rural—to veto what the statewide majority approves.
By allowing a single district to block the will of the entire state, Amendment 4 makes passing citizen-led amendments nearly impossible. It doesn't shift power between regions. It takes power away from ALL Missouri voters equally, regardless of where they live. |

Pro-Tip: Want quality time to talk to parents? Keep the kids entertained!
We proved it at the Paula Foster Day & Care Fair by handing out 24-count Crayola boxes and custom coloring sheets featuring Mo the Bear. While kids created their masterpieces, volunteers talked to adults about what's at stake on August 4. They even sent a dozen "NO on 4" yard signs home to local lawns! |

Steve Schiermann is one tough volunteer. He's been out in the searing heat knocking doors all over his area in south St. Louis: probably 100 to 150 homes. "Heat doesn't bother me," he says. "I've been in construction all my life." He's been with us since he talked to someone in our group in June 2025 and has bagged 1,919 signatures since. "It was an easy choice to join," he says. "I'm tired of politicians taking my vote from me." Thanks for all the shoe leather, Steve!
