Launch Day, Sep 10 , 2025 - clockwise from top left: Jefferson City,  Kansas City, St. Joseph, Sedalia, St. Louis This past Wednesday, Respect MO Voters volunteers showed up in full force at launch parties across Missouri. More than 1,200 volunteers came together, and on our very first day of signature gathering, we collected and notarized over 1,000 signatures. That’s an incredible start to our signature gathering campaign! While politicians in Jefferson City are working overtime to block the will of the voters at every turn, you’ve proven that Missourians are ready to rise up and defend the will of the people. So take a beat to celebrate what we've already accomplished.  Now it's time to hit the ground running, because they aren’t going to let up—and neither will we. Call to Action Gather Signatures Now that we have our policy and supplies, it's time to get out there and get as many signatures as we can! Looking for a place to collect signatures or know of a great opportunity for someone to collect? Find or share it here: respectmovoters.org/sign. Here are some opening lines you can try out: > Are you tired of politicians ignoring the will of the people? Sign this petition to put an amendment on the ballot that will stop them from overturning the things that we’ve already voted on. > Will you sign the initiative petition to preserve our freedom to use initiative petitions? It’s been under attack for decades and we may lose it forever if we don’t pass this amendment to preserve it now. Here are some more helpful opening lines to help get you started talking to voters. If you haven't signed up and you want to gather signatures, be a notary, or help transport supplies make sure you fill out this form: respectmovoters.org/gather. Already signed up, but still need petitions? Look out for an email or phone call from your field captain. Still can't find anything? Find your regional field director's email here: respectmovoters.org/regions. Our goal this week is for each gatherer to collect 50 signatures which should take between 3-5 hours of gathering. This is the perfect role for the volunteer who can’t get out of the house but wants to be an essential part of the mission. Logistics Coordinator - St. Louis - Support our Operations department and be the point person to manage, distribute, and coordinate delivery of necessary supplies to the regional hubs from the St. Louis City Office. Some work will be remote but there is a need to regularly visit the office to put together supplies. This is a new role that needs to be built out, if you like to create the position you’re filling and love logistics and paperclips, join us! They will now be held the second Monday of each month. The next call is at 6pm on Monday, October 13. 🎉   Volunteer Spotlight    🎉 John Madras is a dedicated volunteer, filing petitions, setting up events, and circulating petitions—a role he especially enjoys from past campaigns. Now retired, John fills his time with Habitat for Humanity, Sierra Club, environmental work, biking, canoeing, and time with his grandchildren. John believes life’s challenges are puzzles that can be solved with creativity and care, without creating hardships for others.
