Springfield Daily Citizen Letter to the Editor: ‘Respect MO Voters’ seeks to defend will of the people

The Missouri legislature has once again shown us that they’ll throw out our votes if politicians don’t like the result. They just gutted protections for workers and women’s health care that voters clearly passed last November.

For over 100 years, voters have used initiatives to fight corruption, improve health care, and help working families. Officials want all the power in their hands. 

But a growing, cross-partisan movement — Respect MO Voters — is pushing back, including the National Organization for Women, the Missouri NAACP, and Veterans for All Voters.
