We want to be transparent with
you about the work ahead because this campaign only succeeds if we face it
together.
To ensure Missourians keep
the freedom to decide our own future, our strategy has to follow the math. We
must meet signature requirements in at least six of Missouri’s eight
congressional districts. Right now, that means we need to
significantly strengthen our signature counts in Congressional Districts
3, 4, 6, and 7.
This is the Big
Ask:
If you are currently
gathering in Districts 1, 2, 5, or 8 and have the capacity to
travel, we need you. We know this isn’t easy. It’s
cold. The drives are long. Your time is valuable. Heading into an unfamiliar
district can feel intimidating, and it’s completely natural to feel nervous
about where to go or how you’ll be received. What makes this ask possible is how
we do it together.
To support you, we’re leaning
into strong community coordination:
- Days of
Action
Join a coordinated
regional event in a priority district. You’ll be paired with someone local who
knows the area and can help you get oriented.
- Travel
Together
Organize carpools or use
our buddy program so no one has to do this
alone. Ride with a partner or join a group heading to the same
location.
- Host an Indoor
Site
Help us beat the cold. If
you know a business owner or community space in Districts 3, 4, 6, or 7 that
might host signature gathering indoors, please let us know here: [link]
If Traveling Isn’t an
Option:
Your work close to home is
still absolutely vital. We have not yet confirmed qualification in any
district, and every signature helps move us closer to the finish
line. Remember, people travel. While gathering in your own community, you’ll
often encounter voters who live in Districts 3, 4, 6, or 7.
Thank you for showing up, for
pushing through the hard days, and for believing that this work is worth it.
We’re in this together and we can achieve our goal together.

Set a Personal
Milestone
To hit our goal, we’re asking everyone to champion a personal weekly milestone: at
least 2 hours and 20 signatures a week. While the statewide total
is the target, it’s your individual consistency that gets us across the finish
line!

Find a Day of Action: We have
Days of Action coming up in districts 3 and 7! Keep an eye out for more on social
media and the events section of our newsletters.

Find a Buddy to
Travel With: Sign up for our Buddy
Program to be paired with an experienced gatherer, or reach out
to your Field Captain directly. They can connect you with a teammate nearby so
you can head out together.
Can’t Drive? Take
the Train: If you live in the St. Louis or
Kansas City area, you can take the Missouri River
Runner train. One train leaves in the morning and you can catch
the return train in the evening. Four stations (Hermann, Jefferson City,
Sedalia, and Warrensburg) are located in priority districts.
Look at
Congressional District Lines: Because our goal is to hit
specific numbers in Districts 3, 4, 6, and 7, make sure you know where those
lines are. You may not have to travel far to find a priority district. You can
find a clickable interactive map HERE.

Stand Up, Fight
Back at Missouri Capitol: It may be cold, but Missourians are fired
up! You may have seen the news that hundreds of Missourians convened at the
state capitol last week. What were many of them advocating for? Respect at the
ballot box. Missourians are fed up with repeals and challenges to voter-approved
laws. READ
MORE
Those hundreds of
Missourians, and many more not at the capitol, are on our side. Let’s make sure
we keep getting the word out to bring these people to our cause by promoting townhalls,
sharing where you’ll be out gathering signatures, writing a letter to the editor, or simply resharing
our social media posts.
Hard work pays
off! If
you needed a little ray of sunshine to brighten your day, we are thrilled to
report that the Missouri Supreme Court just struck down SB22 otherwise known as
the "Let the Politicians Lie" act. This is HUGE and
it shows that even our state courts recognize just how far Missouri politicians
are going to deceive voters. BUT this is not the time to
sit back or relax. Now more than ever we must keep pressing
forward. We won't be satisfied with half-measures. We're
going to get this amendment on the ballot and WIN!

We're giving a group
shout-out this week to the Mid-Missouri Field Team: Monica Lee (Field
Director), Nick Charles (Field Captain), and Rachel English (Field
Captain)!
Together, they organized and led the Columbia Day of Action, a successful event
that brought new and experienced volunteers together to build community and to
prioritize signature gathering in a critical district. By coordinating carpools
and providing a list of strategically pre-assigned gathering locations, the team
ensured the day ran seamlessly. Thanks to their excellent organization, volunteers
had a fantastic time and, most importantly, collected 369 signatures!
Awesome job Monica, Nick, and
Rachel!
