In a moment of growing
federal instability and uncertainty, it's more important than ever that everyday
citizens maintain a direct voice in our own governance. Missouri’s citizen-led
initiative petition is one of the most powerful tools we have to ensure
accountability and take action when politicians fail to represent the will of
the people.
Here in Missouri, this
century-old freedom to petition has been under attack for decades. Thanks to
your hard work to place the Respect Missouri
Voters amendment on the 2026 ballot, we're closer than ever to
securing this freedom for the next 100 years and beyond.
But the work isn’t finished. We
have just 2½ months left to collect enough signatures
to qualify for the ballot. Now is the moment to step into our
communities and talk with our neighbors. Every signature strengthens our voice.
Every day brings us closer.
Draw strength from our fellow
Americans in Minnesota who are braving frigid temperatures and facing immense
personal risk to stand up for their community and their fundamental right to be
heard. If they can stand firm in the face of such adversity, we can certainly
step up to safeguard our freedoms in Missouri.

2 Hours - 20 Signatures
- Every Week
Individual consistency will
get us on the ballot. We’re calling on you to set a weekly goal of spending 2
hours signature gathering to collect at least 20 signatures. Protests and vigils
are popping up across the state and they are great places to gather filled with
voters who are eager to sign.

Not sure where to gather?
Search for ideas HERE, and
focus on districts 3, 4, 6, or 7, where we’re most in need of
signatures. You can also skip down to Upcoming Events to find some of our
upcoming Days of Action.

Phone banking is an easy
way to support our cause! Join a virtual phone bank any Thursday, Saturday, or
Sunday. Get trained alongside other volunteers anytime during these
sessions. Then,
you’ll reach out to people who have expressed interest in volunteering with us
to encourage them to gather more signatures.

Partner with a local
business
Help us find warm, indoor
locations with high foot traffic to collect signatures! We are looking for sites
where we can build a relationship with the hosts. If you know a business owner
in or near Districts 3, 4, 6, or 7 who might host a gatherer indoors, let us
know HERE.

As the featured articles
make clear, our work is happening against the backdrop of disturbing behavior in
Jefferson City. Missouri politicians recently boycotted the State of the
Judiciary, forcing its cancellation out of anger that the Supreme Court struck
down the so-called “let politicians lie” law, not out of duty to the people, but
on procedural grounds.
Additionally, the Secretary of State is
working hard to create language that confuses voters on multiple
measures. We saw just months ago when the courts declared the language
used for the new Amendment 3 to be confusing as seen here. This week we watched a replay as
the courts rejected the deceptive language used to try to stop voters from
understanding a citizen led initiative regarding private school funding.

These actions only underscore
why citizen-led efforts like ours matter now more than ever and why we must keep
showing up, gathering signatures, and defending the will of Missouri
voters.

Amanda
Scott, is a Mid Missouri field captain and notary, who has been
volunteering with Respect MO Voters since August and consistently goes above and
beyond to support the team. She’s helped distribute Signature Gathering Awards,
supported Dispatch and Good Vibes, and repeatedly bridged scheduling gaps by
coordinating materials between drivers and Mid Missouri region directors when
others couldn’t connect. When she’s not volunteering with RMV, she’s often
traveling or giving back through other organizations. Her advice to fellow
signature gatherers says it all: “Always bring a smile!”😀
You rock, Amanda!
