While the world’s eyes are
fixed on the pursuit of gold, we’re finding our own Olympic spark right here in
our own communities. There is something truly magical about this season—a time
defined by grit, grace, and the belief that a dedicated group of people can
achieve something historic.
We've officially
crossed the halfway mark toward our signature goal, and the finish
line is in sight. With 70 days left until our April 19th
signature gathering wrap-up deadline, we need to use the gift of warmer weather
to pick up the signature gathering pace. We're asking everyone to step up and
take these actions this week.

Gathering: For the LOVE of Democracy!
|
There’s nothing more
romantic than defending citizen initiative petitions. 💘
Valentine’s Day means
last-minute shoppers. That makes candy stores, chocolate shops, and
florists prime places to gather signatures this week. Bring a
clipboard, strike up a conversation, and turn the rush into results.
Want to maximize your
impact even more? Partner with your faith leaders to host a
signature gathering event at your place of worship. A familiar, trusted space
makes it easier to start conversations and collect signatures. Read our step-by-step guide to organizing a
successful faith-based signature gathering.

What's it going to take to
hit our goal? According to Toni Easter, co-founder of the Respect Missouri
Voters Coalition, the answer is simple: clipboards, conversation, and
commitment
|
|
|
Clipboards: Bring
your petitions wherever people already are. Family gatherings. Protests. Outside
grocery stores. Anywhere you feel comfortable. Every clipboard out in the
community creates opportunity.
‼️Use our event lookup tool to find nearby gathering
opportunities.
Conversation:
Change starts with a conversation. Invite someone to a town hall. Write a
letter to the editor. Talk to a friend or
neighbor. Many Missourians don’t understand how the petition process works, and
your voice can be the difference.
‼️Use our FAQ page as a quick reference to help
guide these conversations with confidence.
Commitment: Just
2 hours and 20 signatures a week. That’s it. When each
volunteer shows up consistently, the numbers add up fast—and goals become
victories.

Voting Rights Lobby
Day
Last Wednesday, we brought
our fight to the state capitol, where Missourians spoke out against legislative
attacks on voting rights and the citizen initiative process. Amendment 4
will be on the ballot this year and would let just 5% of
voters overturn the will of the majority by adding extreme new
requirements. At the capitol and across Missouri, we’re making it clear: we
won’t back down. Read more HERE.
$100K
Raised!
FUNdraising in
St. Louis, Kansas City, and Springfield raised $107,043 to
support legal fees, staffing, clipboards, and more. We celebrated our incredible
volunteers with special guests, cross-partisan leaders, and awards for top
signature gatherers. Thank you to everyone who showed up! Keep the donations going by setting up a personal FUNdraising
page.

Vicki
Russo quickly became very active helping to plan fundraisers
(including the very successful STL Fundraiser this week), social events, a
silent auction and co-chairing the Good Vibes Department! She also recorded a
video for RMV social media and carpooled for the Columbia Day of Action. Vicki
is a cheerleader for the campaign and all signature gatherers! She is always
willing to buddy up and go out with someone! When not volunteering with RMV, she
spends time with family and travels with her husband around the
country.
Thank you for your
dedication, Vicki! 🎉
