The holidays are a
cherished time focused on family, health, and shared prosperity. But let's
face it... Work, travel, and the constant pressure of squeezing everything into
the last few weeks of the year can make things a bit hectic. And yet, even while
pulled in a hundred directions, you keep showing up. Your
dedication is the reason this movement is still strong. Thank you.
As we close out 2025, we’re
also closing out a year that reminded us why this work matters so much. In
November 2024, more than 57% of Missouri voters approved
Proposition A. Whether people supported or opposed the policy itself, it was a
clear and decisive expression of the voters’ will.
But in August 2025,
lawmakers repealed key provisions of the proposition through House Bill 567. And
as most of us know, this isn’t the first time—and it’s not tied to one party.
Overrides like this have happened under both Republican and Democratic
leadership alike. That’s the problem. When state lawmakers of any party can
reverse the outcome of a statewide vote, our democracy is weakened.
As we walk through the final
weeks of 2025, we aren’t just closing out the calendar year —we’re working to
make it the final year of government overreach like this in
Missouri. A year when the people say: enough.
That’s why we’re here —
to make sure the will of the people can’t be quietly undone behind
closed doors.
If you’re ready to
reconnect, recharge, and get momentum going into 2026, join us for the All Hands Respect MO Voters Volunteer Call
tomorrow, December 8 at 6:00 PM. You’ll hear from Crystal
Quade, Fred Steinbach, Toni Easter, Benjamin Singer, and volunteers from across
Missouri as we plan our next steps and strengthen the guardrails our democracy
deserves.
Let’s finish this year with
purpose — and start the next one with even more power.

50K for 50%
What better way to close
2025 than by passing the halfway mark in our signature goal? With holiday events
galore and a lot of people out shopping for presents, there are plenty of
opportunities to gather 50,000 signatures this month!
With over 1000 volunteers
turning in signatures so far, that's just 50 signatures each.
We can do this!
Check the events dashboard for upcoming
opportunities, and don’t forget to keep your petition board handy when you’re
out at malls, stores, and holiday parties. Every signature moves us closer —
let’s make this month count.

From December 1–31, 2025,
Respect Missouri Voters is running a special sweepstakes to thank our most
dedicated supporters!
Every dollar you help us raise
goes directly toward the work ahead — paying for essential software, legal
support, polling, and hiring two new organizers who will recruit, train, and
support the thousands of volunteers needed to gather the remaining 190,000
signatures to qualify for the ballot.
And here’s the fun part:
the more you contribute or help us fundraise, the higher your
sweepstakes entry tier! Your support moves us closer to protecting
the will of Missouri voters — and gets you more chances to win.
Make a one-time contribution, become a monthly supporter or REALLY supercharge your
ask with your own peer-to-peer
fundraising page!

Lisa
Magierowski is a real go-getter out in the field! She recently spent
four hours at Union Station in Kansas City going up to everyone to ask if they
were registered Missouri voters. Whether or not they signed, she wished each
person, “happy holidays!” With her kindness and diligence, she sets the standard
for signature gathering.
Thank you, Lisa!

We are deeply saddened to
share that volunteer, Becky Bubenik, passed away on November
29. A retired teacher and first-time political volunteer, Becky quickly became
an essential part of our communications team. She created our guide for writing
letters to the editor, and she was one of the very first volunteers willing to
step in front of the camera to record her why video—a story we were proud to share on social media
just weeks ago.
In a testament to her passion,
Becky’s family even made special mention of Respect Missouri Voters in her obituary.
Becky, your dedication,
kindness, and courage made our work stronger and our community better. You will
be deeply missed.
