Happy 2026! This year, our
resolution is clear: preserve, strengthen, and use Missouri’s citizen initiative
petition process to ensure our voices are respected.
With 125,000
signatures already in hand, we’ve built a powerful foundation. Now,
the real push begins: we need to reach 300,000 signatures by March
31 to secure our spot on the ballot. Once we lock in our place, the
final step is a 'Yes' vote later this year to preserve our rights for
good.
To reach this goal,
scaling our signature gathering volunteer force is our #1
priority and so we are launching two key initiatives in 2026 to grow
our movement and give every volunteer the tools they need to succeed:
-
Town
Halls: These new community town halls are our primary engine for growth —
designed to activate new supporters and re-energize our base. Each event will
feature a presentation on the mission followed by hands-on training, so you
can leave with petitions in hand and everything you need to start collecting
signatures. They are also a perfect opportunity to sign the petition. Check
out our events section below to find a date near you.
- Field Leadership
Support: We are
streamlining our systems to ensure every field director and captain has the
direct support and communication tools they need to hit their goals. We’re
kicking this effort off with a field training on January 5th.
The roadmap for 2026 is
ready. The goal is in sight. Now, it’s time to execute.

Attention Regional
Directors and Field Captains: Driving Assignments
Wanted!
Need help transporting
materials within your region? Dispatch would love to support you! We’re actively
looking for assignments to share with our drivers—especially
shorter-distance trips, which many drivers are eager to
take.
|
|
|
While we do have some
longer driving opportunities available, shorter runs are in high demand and
currently limited. If you have a need, please let us
know so we can get it on the schedule.
Do you want to help
with driving?
Dispatch now sends weekly
Driver Update emails every Friday with available assignments and important
updates.
If you’ve volunteered to
drive but haven’t received an email, please first check your spam folder. If you
still don’t see it, email Dispatch and let Lauren know you’d like
to be added to the driver email list.

Cathi Boyd
is a signature gatherer and notary in St. Louis County. After retiring from an
independent court reporting business, she never expected to spend her time
collecting petition signatures outside libraries, grocery stores, and polling
places—but seeing how fragile our democratic processes can be changed
that.
Her involvement began at an
introductory meeting at the Affton Fire Station, where she felt a clear calling
to help protect the voices of Missouri voters. She soon became a notary and
later cross-trained as a signature gatherer, determined to provide accurate
information with confidence and respect.
What inspires Cathi most is
the people—retirees, teachers, clergy, and neighbors from all walks of
life—united by a shared belief that democracy matters. While signature gathering
isn’t easy, she’s learned that education, patience, and respect make all the
difference. This work has reaffirmed
Cathi’s belief that democracy depends on citizens willing to stand up for it.
She is proud to be part of a team ensuring Missouri voters retain their
voice.
Thank you,
Cathi!
